Dental Implants

A dental implant is really two parts: the post a specialist places in the jaw, and the crown that sits on top.

Implant treatment happens in stages, and different parts are often done by different providers. The titanium post is placed surgically and left to integrate with the bone. Once it's stable, a restoration is made to sit on top. That restoration is what you see and chew with.

Poplar Dental focuses on that second stage. Dr. Perry plans the restoration, takes the impressions, and works with dental labs to build implant crowns and bridges shaped and shaded to match your existing teeth.

If you need a post placed, we coordinate with oral surgeons and periodontists we work with regularly, then handle your restoration once healing is complete. You aren't managing two separate practices on your own.

We also maintain implants placed elsewhere. Crowns loosen, restorations wear, and the gum tissue around an implant needs monitoring the same way natural teeth do. If you've moved practices or your original dentist has retired, we can take over that care.

A consultation starts with an exam and imaging to see what's there and what the bone can support. From that, you get a clear picture of the stages involved, who does what, and the timeline.
